Network for Youth Development is working on improving attitudes, structures and cultural aspects that will help young people more especially young women gain ability, authority, and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and the lives of other people as well as contribute to national development. This is being done through Young Women Can Do It project. This project focuses on gender, youth participation and climate change.
Young Women Can Do It is a local/community gender advocacy movements in the areas where it is being implemented, focusing on empowerment of young women. It is a growing grassroots youth movement with a long-term vision for women in Malawi. The project considers inclusiveness in the struggle for equality, men are therefore included in the efforts to empower young women. The composition of the club is therefore 25% male and 75% Female. The approach used by the club is Gender and Development GAD.
